For the last four years, people in Gennevilliers have been meeting up in artistic projects, creative workshops and open rehearsals. Day to day life in the town mixes in with art, just as the team at the theatre mix in with the residents. Four years of shared writing experience has helped us all strengthen our links with each other and discover new passions. Over four years of multidisciplinary creative work, we have witnessed countless performances and exhibits by artists from all over the world. The architecture of Patrick Bouchain and Nicole Concordet, Daniel Buren’s arrows, and Yann Kersalé’s cube are just a few of the things that implant this amazing experience into the building itself. We dream a lot; sometimes, our dreams become reality. The Theatre shines brightly over the town, and the light travels a very long way indeed, as far as Japan and the USA. A lot of hope is needed to make it work, though. We have a passionate team, who get to work first thing every morning and bring the theatre to life. As for our projects- there’s almost too much going on to list; putting people who would never usually meet to work on collaborative efforts, complete strangers from all over society making art together that reaches out to the general public. Much more than simple “projects”, these collaborations are necessities in the divided world we live in.The theatre must stay lively, a place for the creation of a brighter future, of endless possibilities at every moment. |
